The best trekking season in this Himalayan nation is winter, spring and autumn. February, March, April, May, September, October and November are the best times for trekking and tours. In the case of Restricted Areas for trekking (Upper Dolpo, Upper Mustang, etc.) even monsoon time is recommended, as these areas fall under rain-shaded area. 

Crimson Nepal Adventure prides itself in taking great care to assure your good health and well being whilst trekking. If you become unwell whilst trekking, your guide will help you. This is one of the main reasons for assigning guides to guests. Your guide is well trained in First Aid and special first aid kits are carried on all treks.

If your condition happens to deteriorate and for unforeseen circumstances cannot continue, emergency evacuation will be provided from the trekking site by helicopter. A comprehensive travel Insurance is well advised.

Your welfare is always considered a priority and you can feel well assured that the Helicopter rescue teams are highly trained and very reliable.

Yes, in most of the busy trekking areas you will have access to internet facilities and telephone. In the remote area we provide you with a satellite phone so that you may be in constant contact with your friends and families. 

 

In most of the trekking site you will be accommodated in teahouse or lodge. Whilst on remote trekking tours, you will be accommodated in a comfortable tent which will be arranged by Crimson Nepal Adventure. 

In restricted and remote trekking areas one has the opportunity to experience the charm of real camping and take the opportunity to be one with nature in this beautiful countryside.

Camping Treks consist of comfortable durable tents and all accommodation facilities and provisions are catered for by Crimson Nepal Adventure.

Oh yes, all employees are fully insured. Crimson Nepal Adventure prides itself in taking very good care of their porters and guides. 

Plans sometimes have to change. Crimson Nepal Adventure understands this well and will do their best to accommodate any last minute emergency changes. As a contingency approach we will normally keep two or three days available in case of time restrictions and changing of plans. 

We arrange two types of trekking: Teahouse Trekking and Camping Trekking.

All our trips are graded and are shown clearly on each trek guide information. The explanation and description of trekking routes are categorized as per its type: hard, challenging, strenuous, etc. This is known as grading of treks.  

Yes, it requires physical effort. Depending on the trekking trail it may differs. The level of fitness depends on the trek. We suggest all trekkers should have a basic level of fitness. We can also arrange a pony-trek for the trekker who has a low level of fitness.

There are more than 100 trekking trails in Nepal ranging from easy to strenuous. 

Yes, it is advisable to obtain trekking permits through a government registered organization. Crimson Nepal Adventure will arrange all necessary requirements to obtain a Trekking Permit for you.

It is advisable to bring extra passport photos of yourself in case they are needed for these permits.

A 30 percent deposit is required to secure your Tour in advance. Remaining fees can be made once you arrive in Kathmandu or may be paid in full into advised accounts.

No, Unfortunately all deposits are non- refundable. 

Please see attached Information sheet. This is required to be filled out in order to make your booking and to secure your place in the selected tour.

In order to confirm booking you should provide us with the information listed below:

  1. Passport no
  2. Date of passport issue
  3. Validity of Passport
  4. Date of Birth
  5. Your complete name as in the passport
  6. Complete Address
  7. Nationality
  8. Arrival Date, Airline number and time
  9. Departure date, Airline number, and time etc.

Yes, we accept all forms of major credit cards.

Depending on the trek destination a Tour guide, a cook and porters or horses/Yaks will accompany you during the trek.

  1. A good sleeping bag
  2. A walking stick optional
  3. A frontal lamp or an electric torch
  4. A foam mattress is provided, but if you have a self-inflating mattress, we advise you to bring it
  5. Hiking shoes
  6. A sweater
  7. A fleece jacket
  8. A waterproof jacket preferably Gore-Tex
  9. 2 pairs of good trousers; for warm weather and for snow.
  10. 2 hiking shirts
  11. Hiking neck scarf.
  12. Thermal underwear.
  13. 2 pairs good hiking thermal socks
  14. Gloves, cap and beanie.
  15. Sunglasses
  16. A water bottle

Medical Equipment and suggestions.

  1. Bandaids
  2. Sun cream
  3. Diamox tablets for Altitude sickness.
  4. Hand sanitizer
  5. Anti-Diarrhoea tablets.
  6. Pepermints

It is possible to hire most of these things here in Nepal. Crimson Nepal Adventure will facilitate in this and help you  to obtain all that you require.
